Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How we work

  • What is your photography and videography style?

Our photography style is both natural and elegant. We focus on capturing genuine emotions, meaningful details, and the moments that make your wedding uniquely yours. Rather than creating overly staged pictures, we use a combination of gentle direction and candid storytelling to make everything feel authentic.

For videography, the documentary style is at the heart of what we do. We want to tell your story, not simply show what happened on your wedding day. We take the time to interview you, your family, and your guests, capturing the stories, memories, emotions, and words that make your relationship and your wedding unique. Your guests become a huge part of the film because, after all, they are the people who were there to celebrate your story with you.

  • What is included in your wedding packages?

Our packages can include wedding photography, wedding videography, or a combination of both. Depending on the package you choose, the hourly coverage differs and may include the getting ready preparations, the first look, the ceremony, couple portraits, family and group photos, cocktail hour, reception, speeches, first dance, and party.

Specifically for the video packages, they always include a short trailer/highlight video, a wedding film and optionally an additional film covering the entire ceremony.

We also offer customized packages for couples who need something outside of our standard collections.

  • What is a wedding trailer/highlight video, and what is a wedding film?

Think of the trailer as a beautiful preview of your special day, while the wedding film is your full story.

A trailer is a shorter version designed to showcase the most memorable moments of your wedding. It is fast-paced, emotional, and cinematic, something you can easily share with family and friends.

A wedding film is a longer, cinematic story of your wedding day. It combines carefully selected footage, speeches, vows, natural audio, music, and emotional moments to tell the story of your day from beginning to end.

  • What is a ceremony video?

A ceremony video is a documentary-style recording of your wedding ceremony from beginning to end. It allows you to relive the vows, readings, music, reactions, ring exchange, first kiss, and all the little moments that happen during the ceremony. It is designed to preserve the event as it actually happened, so you can watch the entire ceremony again years from now.

  • How do we reserve our wedding date?

It all starts with getting in touch. Tell us about your wedding day, we read every message. Once we receive your inquiry through our contact form or email, we'll check your date and availability and send you our packages, along with all the pricing information you need. From there, based on your response, we'll arrange a call so we can get to know you, hear more about your plans, and talk through exactly what you're looking for.

Once you've chosen your package and you're ready to move forward, we'll send over your booking invoice and contract. Your date is officially reserved with our team once both have been signed and received.

Planning the day

  • Do we need two videographers?

For smaller and more intimate weddings, one videographer may be enough. However, having two camera operators can make a significant difference when your wedding involves multiple locations, a large guest count, a larger bridal party, or several important moments happening at the same time.

With two videographers, we can capture different perspectives simultaneously - for example, one person can focus on the bride's preparations while the other captures the groom, or one camera can capture your vows while another captures the reactions of your family and friends.

  • Do you travel to different locations for weddings?

Absolutely. We are happy to photograph and film weddings at different venues and locations. If your wedding day takes place across multiple locations, such as getting ready at a hotel, having the ceremony at a church, taking portraits at another location, and celebrating at a reception venue, we can build your coverage around the schedule.

Travel between locations, additional travel time, and destination weddings can be discussed when creating your custom package.

  • Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

We want your wedding film to feel personal to you, so we are happy to hear about your musical preferences and the kind of atmosphere you want. You can tell us about artists, genres, songs, or general moods that you love, and we can use that as inspiration when selecting the soundtrack.

Your vows, speeches, laughter, and natural sounds will also be an important part of the film - the music is there to enhance the story, not replace it.

After the wedding

  • How long does it take to receive our photos and videos?

Every wedding is different, but we always aim to get your memories back to you as quickly as possible while giving each image and film the attention it deserves.

For photography, you'll receive approximately 100 sneak peek photos within 48 hours of your wedding. Your complete, fully edited gallery will then be delivered within 3 months.

For video, your trailer/highlight film will be delivered within 2 weeks, giving you an early glimpse back at the emotions and atmosphere of your day. Your full wedding film will follow within 3 months.

Creating your wedding film involves much more than simply putting footage together. We carefully review and select from all the footage, shape your story through your interviews, vows, speeches, and natural moments, and then complete the editing, color grading, sound design, and music to create a film that feels truly personal to you.

We'll always confirm the expected delivery timeline for your specific package before booking, so you know exactly what to expect.

  • What is raw footage, and do we need it?

Raw footage is the original, unedited video recorded throughout your wedding day. It includes much more footage than what you'll see in your final wedding film, including moments that may not make it into the finished edit.

With all of our wedding video packages, you will always receive a professionally edited wedding film. This is where we carefully select the most meaningful moments, interviews, speeches, vows, and emotions from your day and bring them together into a story that feels personal, cinematic, and true to you.

Some couples also choose to receive the raw footage as an additional archive of their day. Keep in mind that raw footage is not color graded, edited, or arranged into a finished story, so it will look very different from your final wedding film.

If having every moment captured on camera is important to you, raw footage can be added as an additional option to your package.

Extras

  • What are Wedding Instagram Reels?

Want to share the energy of your wedding day straight away? Our Wedding Instagram Reels are three short, trendy vertical videos filmed specifically for Instagram and social media. We capture fun, spontaneous, and stylish moments throughout your day and create 3 videos in a 9:16 vertical format, ready to post.

The best part? You receive them on the same day, so you can share the highlights of your wedding while the celebration is still happening.

  • What is the Photos Slideshow?

The Photos Slideshow is a beautiful way to bring your wedding photos into the celebration during dinner.

Throughout the day, we select and edit 30-40 of your favorite photos and create a slideshow presentation that can be played on a projector or screen at your venue.

It's a special way for you and your guests to relive some of the moments from earlier in the day, while you're still celebrating together.

Please note: this service is available only if your venue provides a suitable projector or screen.

  • What are the Guests Portraits in Black & White?

Our Guests Portraits experience is designed to give your guests something special to take home from your wedding day.

An additional photographer from the Black Sea Motion team will set up a professional portrait station with a clean white background and professional lighting during your reception or party.

Your guests can have their portraits taken individually or in groups, creating timeless black-and-white photographs with a classic editorial feel.

The complete collection of guest portraits will be delivered in an online gallery within one month, so you can look back at all the people who came to celebrate with you.
